Obituary
 
Ruby Glaze Glasscock left this world to enter her heavenly home May 21, 2016 at the age of 93.  Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend  Bruce Ellard officiating.  Interment in Duck River Cemetery.  Her family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
 
Mrs. Glasscock was born June 2, 1922 to the late Redus and Jessie McDonald Glaze. She was raised in many communities around Cullman County. Ruby graduated from Hanceville High School, served in the WAVES during WWII and graduated from Wallace State College Nursing School.  Ruby also served in Walter Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher, VBS director, and many other offices.  She loved her church and her community.  She was a joy to know and a blessing to all who knew her.  Her life was a wonderful example to follow.
 
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, J.D. Glasscock; a grandson, Clay Glasscock; Brothers, Rev. Edgar Glaze and Rev. Jim Glaze and a sister, Nancy Dunkin.
 
She is survived by her children; Pat (Jerry) Scott of Hanceville; Don (Ruby) Glasscock of Cullman and Eddie (Darlene) Glasscock of Hanceville.   Grandchildren; Brian (Christy) Scott, Jeremy Scott, Sherry (Chris) Lucas and Jonathan (Michelle) Glasscock.
Great Grandchildren; Jesse Jarrett and Hayden Scott; Josh, Tommy and Ruby Ann Lucas.
Sister; Louise (Robert) McDowell; Sisters-in-Love Grace Glaze, Patti Glaze and Vivian Strong. Many nephews, nieces, cousins and special niece Bobbie Bradford.
 
Her family wishes to thank  her caregivers; Diane Reynolds and Peggy Chambers. Southern Care Hospice  (Hannah and Tonya) and all the rest for the wonderful care she received.
