Lillian Artist, 82, of Hanceville, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Visitation will be Friday evening, from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. Her service will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. Pastor John Bussman, and Christopher Clark officiating. Interment will be in Fairview West cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Rod Artist, daughters, Cindy Artist, of Fairfield, Montana, Diane Wallace, of Berea, Kentucky, and Sarah Jane Vest, of Falkville, Alabama, 7 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren, a sister, Margaret Hamilton, of Garden City.

Evelene Barnett Stewart

Evelene Barnett Stewart, 92 of Arkadelphia passed away on Wednesday June 27, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday June 30, beginning at 1:30 PM. Her service will be Saturday June 30, at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel, Rev. Harce Swann officiating. Interment will be in Arkadelphia Cemetery.


She is survived by sons; Wesley Barnett, of Jasper, Ronnie Wayne Barnett, of Hanceville, Eugene Barnett, of Trafford, brother; Nelson Stone, of Warrior, step son Wayne Stewart of Memphis, TN., eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands Earnest Barnett and Fred Stewart

Graham, Juanita Mann went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 25, 2018 at the age of 93. She is preceded in death by her parents, R.C. and Ludell Mann; 3 brothers, Jerry Mann, Jack Mann, and Doug Mann, and 2 sisters, Louise McAnally and Ida Will Brown. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Brenda) Graham of Roanoke and Al (Karen) Graham of Gardendale; and daughter, Nancy Davis of Madison; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, sister Georgia (John) Shalhoop; sister-in-law, Lorene Mann; and several nieces and nephews.
Juanita was fondly called Meemaw, Aunt Wee, JuanAuntNita, and Mama Tita by family and friends. She was born on September 25, 1925 in Cullman and lived in Cullman until the age of 17 when her family moved to Hanceville. She married in 1950 and moved to Gardendale where her three children were raised. During this time, she was a wife, mother, and involved in her community through her church and local schools. She always had a garden and loved making quits and crocheting. As she approached retirement age, she moved back to Hanceville where she spent time with her siblings as well as worked as a sitter for those in need of care. In October 2017, she moved back to Mt. Olive where she spent her remaining days.
 
The family would like to thank St. Vincent's Hospice for their care during Juanita's illness.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday at 5:30 P.M.
Mrs. Graham's service will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel, with interment in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mrs. Sandra Ann Brown, 71, of Hanceville, passed away on June 23, 2018. Services will be held Thursday June 28th at 12:00 noon at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Greg Gilliam officiating with interment following at Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Hanceville Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Roman) Gore of Hanceville, son, Daniel (Stacy) Brown of Guntersville, grandchildren, Chad and Cody Gore, Hannah Gore, Nathaniel and Jayden Brown, Cory Ray, brother, Jerry Yarbrough of Okechobee, Florida; step brothers, Frankie, Shannon, and Larry Yarbrough, and a sister Loretta Lynch.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, June Green and Jan Greer.
