Funeral service for Jackie Eugene Cook, 53, of Bangor will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Burial will follow with Masonic rites at Bangor Cemetery. Jackie's family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening beginning at 5:30. He passed away on Tuesday evening at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Baker Cook.
Children: Larry Cook of Morgan County and Rachel Bailey of Eva.

Mr. Cook was an employee of Rehau in Cullman.
Funeral service for Helen Gaye Mitchell, 74, of Hanceville will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the chapel of Hanceville Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at noon prior to service. Burial will follow at Mt. Grove Congregational Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Claude and Elnor Thompson was born in Corner, Alabama and was a retired LPN having worked in local nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Mitchell. Children; Van Mitchell, Charlie (Karen) Mitchell and Wes (Ginger) Mitchell. Grandchildren; Seth (Amanda) Mitchell, Jordyn Mitchell, Bradley Davis, Zander Mitchell and Mylie Mitchell. Great Grandchildren are Indie Jo, Taylon, Greyson and Ryker Mitchell. Also surviving are her siblings Laura Harris and Jerry Thompson along with a brother-in-law, Joe Mitchell.

Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Currington, 69, of Hanceville will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home, Daniel Todd officiating and interment in Good Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday evening beginning at 5:30 at the funeral home.
The daughter of the late Dwight and Hazel Hinkle Teague was preceded in death by her husband David Currington; a sister, Sandra Collum and brothers Larry and Jerry Teague.
She leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie (Ron) Cook of Hanceville. Grandchildren; David (Tess Strawbridge) Cook and Morgan Cook. Also sisters; Carol Garrison of Pinson, Al and Waylene Teague of Arab; brother-in-law Jackie (Deborah) Currington and several nephews and nieces.
Family give a special thank you to Brenda's caregivers during her illness Julie Sharpton and Betty Shelton.

Funeral services for Mr. James I. Forester, 72, of Dodge City will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Mickey and Michael Presley will officiate. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
The son of the late Ira and Mattie Higdon Forester was a heavy machinery mechanic spending most of his career in the strip mines of Walker and Jefferson counties.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice Forester; a son, Mark Forester; Granddaughter, Breanna Sullivan; great granddaughter Abilene Nicole Sullivan and a sister, Iris Forester. James was preceded in death by his brother, Edsel Forester.

Funeral Services for Jean Sorrell Harbison, 85, of Bremen will be 1p.m. Friday, January 25th at Ryan's Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Timothy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11a.m.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin V. and Kathleen Casey Sorrell; her brother, Kenneth Sorrell and his first wife, Betty Chapman Sorrell. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Lowell Harbison, 5 nephews, 2 sisters-in-law and her beloved pets.
Mrs. Harbison was a Civil Servant beginning her career at Ft. Benning, Georgia while Lowell was fulfilling his military obligation. Upon his completion they moved to Birmingham and she continued employment with HQ Fourth U.S. Army Reserve Command and later with HQ 121st U.S. Army Reserve Command where she retired with 36 years of service. She was presented the Commander's Certificate for Meritorious Service with Ribbon. She and her husband were long time members of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church, Midfield, Alabama; Bethany Baptist Church, Crane Hill, Alabama and charter members of Smith Lake Baptist church in Crane Hill.
Funeral service for Linwood Gary Williams, 72, of Hanceville will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Hanceville Funeral Home chapel with Reverends Bill Leonard and Brandon Striplin officiating. Interment will follow at Livingston Chapel Cemetery in Crane Hill. His family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The son of the late Carlton and Laura Hancock Williams was born in Cullman on June 6, 1946 and he entered his eternal rest on January 21, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member of Ryan's Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
He is survived by sons; Jason (Karen) Williams and Keith (Kim) Williams. Grandchildren Lindsey (Micah) Lamb, Jonathan, Madison and Colton Williams. Also surviving are a brother, Hilton Williams and a sister, Patricia Baker. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Jerry Wayne Williams.

Graveside service for Mrs. Dale Jewell, 61 of Bremen will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Jewell Family Cemetery in Bremen. Hanceville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Dale passed away at her residence on Friday, January 18, 2019.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Jewell, children; Brandy Cherrico Jewell, Jason McClain Jewell and Jessie Allen Jewell, Nine grandchildren, brothers Gary and Hank Cunningham and a sister June Turner. She was preceded in death by a son, Trinity Allen Jewell.

Graveside service for Bobbie June Duke, 80 of Hanceville will be 2 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2018 at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:15 at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Miss Duke is survived by her brother-in-love, Sid Ernest and his sister Charlene Smalley.
Also, her caretakers, Glenda Moses, Linda and Carlos Wilhite and the staff at Woodland Village Health Care.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ula Beatrice Turner, 83 of Hanceville will be held at noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with burial in Colony Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Her family will receive friends at Hanceville Funeral Home Friday evening beginning at 5:30.
Mrs. Turner died Sunday at her residence. She is survived by sisters, Earlene Johnson, Vassie Hollins and Sybble Holcomb and a brother, Michael Johnson and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Turner; her parents, Luria and Lola Johnson and a brother, Fredrick Twitty.
