Funeral Services for Willie "Dee" Bradford, 89, of Hanceville will be 2 o'clock p.m. Sunday June 30, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Bradford will be laid to rest at Center Hill Cemetery in Center Hill, AL. Her family will receive friends for visitation Sunday June 30, 2019 at 11 o'clock a.m. at the Hanceville funeral home.

Mrs. Bradford is survived by her children Jerry (Polly) Bradford and Debbie (Johnny) Moore, granddaughters Candace (Matt) Thornton and Leanne (Brandon) Messer, great grandchildren Sydney Dodson, Anna Messer, Calvin Messer, and a sister Janie Clark.

Mrs. Bradford is preceded in death by her sister Myra Boyd, brother Charles Johns, husband Fayette Bradford and parents Charlie and Una Johns.

Funeral services for Orville Wayne Lewis, 69, of Hanceville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2019 in the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will for family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., Monday July 1, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Reverend Harse Swann will officiate. Mr. Lewis will be laid to rest at the Damascus Cemetery, Hamceville.

Mr. Lewis, who preferred to be called Wayne had been in law enforcement. He is survived by his wife Christine Lewis, three sons, Jeremy (Melony) Lewis, Jessie Lewis and Scottie Lewis. He leaves five grandchildren, Stacy Wilborn, Courtney Lewis, Jessie Lewis, Nathan Smitherman and Logan Smitherman, one great grandchild, Addilyn Wilburn, three brothers, Bobby (Lisa) Lewis, Ralph (Sherry) Lewis and Dale Lewis, a sister-in-law Shirley Cates and brother-in-law Don Cats. Mr. Lewis is predeceased by his son Jason Lewis and his parents Ralph and Lena Bernell Lewis.

Funeral services for Faye McAlpin, 80, of Riverside Community will be 1 o'clock P.M. Saturday June 22, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel in Hanceville, AL. Burial will follow at Riverside Community Cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Martin will be officiating. The family will receive friends at Hanceville Funeral Home for visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday June 21, 2019.

Mrs. McAlpin is survived by her daughter Donna (Paul) Brown of Holly Pond; grandchildren Brandi Trimble and Kevin (Kelsey) Trimble; great grandchildren Anna-Kaitlyn Shea, Nick Shea, Jayden Trimble, and a sister Carolyn Fulmer of Holly Pond.

Mrs. McAlpin is preceded in death by her mother Essie Dodson; husband Ottis McAlpin; daughter Debbie Trimble; and her grandson Jay Trimble.

Funeral services for Laura Jane Edmondson 63, of Cullman will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends Friday evening beginning at 5:30 at the funeral home.

 Jane, the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes Black Sullins, passed away at her home after an extended illness.  In her younger years she was a legal secretary for what was then the Willingham and Smith Law Offices. After her first child was born she became a full time mom and homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Edmondson and children; Patrick, Kevin (Meredith), Matthew and Katie Edmondson.  A granddaughter, Nora, as well as a sister, June Absher and a brother, Wayne Sullins.

Mr. Grantham retired from the Jim Walter Number Five Mine.

Mr. Grantham is a Vietnam War veteran who received the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Parachute Badge.

Mr. Grantham is survived by his wife Pat Grantham, mother June Suell, daughters Brandy (Tony) Ethridge of Brookwood, Alabama, Jennifer (Marty) Gellness of Cullman, Alabama and son Chad (Samantha) Grantham of Providence, Alabama. Grandchildren include Justin Ethridge, Emma Gellness, Mady Gellness, Jayce and Jackson Grantham. A brother Rod Grantham. Mr. Grantham was preceded in death by his father David Roger Grantham Jr. and grandson Dylonn Ethridge.

Brenda Pugh was data entry clerk in government service.

Mrs.Pugh is survived by her son Asa Pugh of Hanceville and his wife Candace, a sister Deborah Joan Glasscock Campbell of Bremen and two grand sons Asa Ray II and Madison Rae Pugh. Mrs. Pugh preceded  in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Pugh.


Funeral Services for George Carlton Grund, 75, of Hanceville Alabama, will be at 2 O'clock P.M. on Wednesday June 19, 2019 Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama. The family will receive friends at 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the Hanceville Funeral Home. Mr. Grund was a Vietnam War veteran receiving a Vietnam Campaign medal, Bronze Star and Good Conduct medal.

Mr. Grund is survived by his wife Sandra Grund, daughters Kaye Grund and Anna (Shawn)  Morgan and son Pete (Lesilie) Grund. Other survivors include a sister Fancess (Randy) Nuss and a brother Paul Grund. Surviving grandchildren include Ally and Caleb Grund and Shawn Tyler and Matty Jack Morgan.

Survivors include four children: Tia Hyatt, Jamie Hubble, Jessie Navarro and Joel Navarro. Two sisters Faye Smith and Connie Leftwitch and a brother Butch. Other survivors include a six of grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bobby Ray Hitt, 56 of Hanceville will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Mt. Grove Baptist Church with Reverends Mark Long and Gary Sartain officiating. His family will receive friends Monday evening beginning at 5:30 at the funeral home and Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  Mr. Hitt died Sunday at Folsom Center.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Othelia Hitt and siblings; Michael (Betty) Hitt, Joyce Shelton, Buddy (Glinda) Hitt and Phillip (Windy) Hitt.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and siblings; Eugene Hitt and Rita Abbott.
