Funeral services for Glenn J. Weeks of Hanceville will be  

Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 1st  at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Campbell officiating. Interment following at Fairview West Cemetery.  Glenn's family will receive friends Monday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Jo Ann (Evans) Mayhew will be 4:30 p.m., Wednesday September 25, 2019 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday September 25 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Crestview Cemetery, Adamsville, Alabama.

 

Mrs. Mayhew, 84,  was born in Marion County and died at her Hanceville residence. Jo Ann was retired and had been a school secretary at West Birmingham Christian School.

 

Mrs. Mayhew is survived by her daughter, Susan (Terry) Melton, granddaughters, Allyson Mayhew, and Lauren Melton, grandsons, Michael (Brittnie) Mayhew and Nathan (Kaylee) Melton, a sister Jean Black and a sister-in-law Peggy Mayhew. There are three great grandchildren, Raelyn Henderson, Lillian Henderson and Joanna Mayhew.

 

Mrs. Mayhew is preceded in death by her husband, Sterling "Syd" Mayhew, her parents McLarreen ("Mack") and Eva Evans and two sons, Syd Mayhew Jr. and Paul Mayhew.

Memorial Services for Barbara Wisdom, 89 of Hanceville, will be Saturday September 21, 2019 starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 1730 Eva Road, Cullman, Alabama 35055. Family will receive friends for visitation Sunday September 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wisdom is survived by two daughters, Judy (Marlyn) Price, Deborah (Jerry) Kelley, a son, Alan (Darla) Wisdom, a brother, Joe Heeb of Matlacha, Florida, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wisdom is preceded n death by her husband Albert Wisdom, a son, Joel Glenn Widsom, her parents, Roy William and Minta Luellen Heeb, two sisters, Laura Gunn, Elizabeth Daniels and a brother, Eddie Heeb.

Funeral services for Dearl Russell Moore, 74, of Bremen, Alabama will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday September 8, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for friends will be 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday September 7, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Valley View Cemetery Bremen, Alabama with Reverend Harce Swann officiating.

Mr. Moore was born in Jefferson County and was retired from the coal industry.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Moore, a daughter, Cindy (Hilton) Mullins, and two sons, Bobby (Kathy) Moore and James Moore. Other survivors include grandchildren, Bobby Moore Jr., Jeremy Moore, Christopher Moore, Austin Moore, Des Marie Moore, Cody Vandiver and Tyler Jones. Great grandchildren include Nadalyn Moore, Elijah Moore, Kenseley Moore, Jesslyn Moore, Caleb Moore, Emily Moore and Houston Vandiver.

Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Gertrude (Pugh) Moore.

Barbara Sue Rogers of Garden City, Alabama, 81, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Rogers was born on April 12, 1938, in Hayden, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents Onis and Imogene (Turner) Thomas. Mrs. Rogers was a Health Care worker.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday September 7 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Matt Smith and Sam Hollis, of Eastside Baptist Church will be officiating. Mrs. Roger will be laid to rest at the Nectar Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday September 6, 2019 at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband Ralph Rogers of Garden City and two brothers Joe Thomas of Gardendale, Alabama and Steve Thomas of Oneonta, Alabama.

Jean Campbell Hall of Hayden, Alabama 92, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2019 at Hanceville Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hall was born on December 11, 1926 in Blount County. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe B. Hall. They raised 3 sons - David (Pat) Hall, Daniel (Pat) Hall, Jeff (Kim) Hall.

She is preceded in death by one sister & three brothers & survived by her sister Carole Melton.

She had six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was a lifetime member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on September 4, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home from ten o'clock to eleven o'clock with funeral at Hanceville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama.


Funeral services for Glenda Moon, 70, of Cullman AL., will be 3 O'clock P.M. Tuesday September 3, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation prior to the service starting at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moon worked and retired as an office assistant at UAB Hospital.

Mrs. Moon is survived by her husband Randy Moon; children Laura Moon and Paul Moon; a sister Gloria (George) Weimer; a niece Haley (Carl) Richards; nephew Jon Roth; and a great nephew Andrew Roth.

Mrs. Moon is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Hazel (Slaughter) Herman
