Funeral services for Thomas 'Dusty" Barfoot will be 2 O'clock P.M. Sunday May 31, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Visitation will be from 6 O'clock P.M. to 9 O'clock P.M. Saturday May 30, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Barfoot lived in Hanceville, Alabama and passed away suddenly at the age of 62. He was born in Healdsburg, California, to Jack Wayne and Virginia "Ginnie" (Enlow) Barfoot, on August 8, 1957. He was also a truck driver for River Valley Ingredients in Hanceville.

Mr. Barfoot was a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Above all, he had a love for his savior, Jesus Christ. He was a veteran who had a tremendous love for his country. He served 22 years in the Army National Guard, retiring from his position as Sergeant in 2003.

He loved to hunt and fish. He loved nature and the beauty of God's creation. Family was reluctant to eat his cooking. You never knew what surprise he added to it. He was caught several times adding turtle, emu, beaver, squirrel and rabbit. He was kindhearted. He would give you the shirt off of his back or his last dollar if you needed it. He was quick to lend a hand whenever needed, to family and friends.

Mr. Barfoot is survived by his mother, Virginia Barfoot Franklin; wife of 25 years, Susie (Burney) Barfoot; daughters, Ashley (Eric) Wilhite-White of Hanceville, Amanda Callahan and Holland Branden both of Idaho, sons, Adam (Shelby McDonald) Barfoot of Hanceville, Danny Barfoot of Idaho, and Robert Barfoot of Nevada; grandchildren, Cierra White, Daniella White, and Jaxon White; sisters, Susan (Joey) D'Andrea, Karen Barfoot, Gina Barfoot Sellers, and Julie (Eddie) Burks; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Sam) Tyree, and Sharon (Doyle) Partain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Barfoot is preceded in death by his father, Jack Wayne Barfoot; sister, Zebbie (Bill) Mason; grandparents, Thomas Grover Barfoot, Nettie Nichols Barfoot, Goldie M. Smith, and Robert V. Enlow; father and mother-in-law, C.J. and Agnes Burney; brother-in-law, Gerry Burney, grandson, Dell Allen Wilhite; and step-father, Ronnie Franklin.

Graveside services for Wanda Gibbs Mann, 91, of Hanceville, Alabama will be 10 O'clock A.M. Friday May 29, 2020 at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama. Reverend Paul Campbell will be officiating.

 

Mrs. Mann was born April 11, 1929 in the city of Hanceville at her residence on the corner of Bangor and Blountsville Street to the late Emory Sr. and Pearl (McPhearson) Gibbs. Mrs. Mann died May 27, 2020 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab.

 

Mrs. Mann is survived by her children, Charles (Linda) Mann, Larry (Thresea) Mann, and Celia (Ken) Ward; grandchildren, Charlie Mann, Steven Mann, and Hilary (Brendan) O'Brien ; great grandchildren, Bennett and Helen O'Brien; a niece, Sharon Spataro; and a nephew, Emory Gibbs. She is also survived by nieces, Melanie Landrum, Rosemary; nephews, Thomas and John Michael Mann; and sisters-in-law, Elfreda Mann and Joan Gibbs.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mann is preceded in death by her husband, Garfield "Snookie" Mann; and a brother, E.C. Gibbs Jr.

 Mrs. Young is the daughter to the Late Thomas Ivan and Bonnie (Speegle) McCluskey. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was loved by her family, friends and community. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was passionate about working in her garden.

 Mrs. Young is survived by her son, Mark Young; grandson, Justin (Alyssa) Young; Great grandchildren, Aurora, Gavin, Carson, and Braxton Young; Sisters, Vivian Graves, Virginia Tigg, and Glenda Boatright; Brothers, Danny, Johnny, Dalton, Kenneth, Tommy and Larry McCluskey.

 Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife, Carol Robertson; daughter, Sherry (Randall) Edmondson; grandchildren, Amanda (Kevin) Guthrie, and Adam (Lindsay) Edmondson; great grandchildren, Reese and John Luke Guthrie, and Mila, Titus, Willow, Elijah, and Annalise Edmondson; and a sister, Opal Twilley.

Mrs. Cook is the daughter to the late Clant and Cenia (Legg) Guthrie.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her children, Julie (Mark) Sloan, Kevin (Wanda) Watson, and Ron (Stephanie) Cook; grandchildren, Amanda (Shane) Brooks, Arianna (Michael) Chandler, Amber Skinner, Alana (Dalton) Harbison, Ashton Watson, David Cook, and Morgan Cook; great grandchildren, Kately, Kilynn, Max, Emma, Sam, Bristol, Barrett and Brooklyn; and sisters, Joan (Wayne) Law, and Jane Guthrie.
