Funeral services for Doris Jean Newman, 82, of Hanceville, Alabama will be 1 O'clock P.M. Monday, November 2, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Sawyer will be officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Newman is survived by her daughter Kim (Jeff) Brown; grandchildren, Tyler (Britany) Brown, and Justin Brown; great grandchildren, Katelyn Brown, Makayla Brown, and Aaliyah Brown; and a brother, Alvin (Vonda) Patrick.

 

Mrs. Newman is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Newman; grandson, Grant Brown; and parents, Ransom and Etta Patrick.

In Loving Memory of Maxine Graves-Clay.

 

Maxine died at the age of 63 at her home on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She was a very unique and free-spirited individual. She was also very talented and artistic. Maxine was full of life even on her most troublesome days. She loved just as much as the ones who loved her; and she will be greatly missed.

 

Mrs. Graves-Clay is survived by her precious dog, Apollo, who was known to most as Buddy; her mother, Nell Graves; sisters, Faye (Dwayne) Morris, Youvon Graves-Sharp, and Becky (Kenny) White; sisters in love, Delilah Sontag and Becky Bowers; and nieces and nephews, Shawn & Tracy Burgess, Austin White & Cheyenne Phillips, Houston & CarrieAnn White, and Jazzlyn Sharp; and a great-niece, EllieAna "Bunny" White.

Graveside services for Zelmar Shelton of Hanceville, Alabama will be 2 O'clock P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Shelton Grove Cemetery in Hanceville. Reverends Ray Ponder and Paul Campbell will be officiating. Masks will be required at the cemetery and please follow social distancing guidelines.

 

Mr. Shelton died at the age of 83 at Cullman Regional Medical Center on October 15, 2020. He is the son of the late Leander and Virginia (Abbott) Shelton.

 

Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Carolyn Shelton; children, Joey Shelton (Carl McClain) of Pinson, David Shelton (Becky) of Warrior, Jimmy Shelton (Julia) of Hanceville, and Danny Shelton (Tammy) of Hayden; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Foster of Douglasville, GA; and a brother, Delane Shelton of Shelton Grove.

 

In addition to his parents, Zelmar is preceded in death by his sister, JoNell Davis; and a brother, Eugene Shelton.

The family of Mr. Ryan will be having a funeral service at 11 O'clock A.M. Friday October 9, 2020 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Reverend Paul Campbell will be officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday October 9, 2020 beginning at 10 O'clock A.M.

 

Mr. Ryan is survived by his children, Michael (Donna) Ryan, Jeffrey (Marcy) Ryan, Timothy (Melanie) Ryan, Russell (Rosemary) Ryan, and Chris (Sabrina) Ryan; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (Doyle) Bullard.

 

Mr. Ryan is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sue Ryan; and parents, George Baxter and Gertie (Brown) Ryan.
