Funeral services for Ronnie L. Patrick of Garden City, Alabama will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends James Fields and Trueman Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Patrick was born on August 9, 1957 to Thomas and Ima (Eskew) Patrick in Cullman. He died at the age of 63 on March 27, 2021 in Birmingham.

 

Survivors include his mother, Ima Patrick; daughters, Jamie (Todd) Gooch and Melanie (Chris) Piper; grandchildren, Bailey Gooch, Gavin Gooch, Laney Gooch, Landon Piper and Gracie Piper; sisters, Connie (Ricky) Steele, Linda Patrick and Marie (Jim) Boatright; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Patrick.

Funeral service for Mary Lou Phillips, 96, of Hanceville will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home, Reverend Jimmy Sawyer will officiate.  Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Opal Robert and Sarah Gamble Elsberry died peacefully Tuesday evening with her daughter and granddaughter at her side.  She was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, enjoyed gardening and sewing. She made her children's clothes for many years.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister and caregiver to her family.

 She is survived by her daughter, Sharkey Williams; granddaughter, Kim Mattox; grandson, Eric Bice; 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and her loving K-9 friend, Sweet Heidi.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Franklin Phillips, Jr.; daughter, Debbie Bice Hand; grandson, Christopher Bice; sisters, Nellie Brown and Flora Helen Couch.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one's favorite charity.

Funeral service for Abigail Green, 65, of Hanceville will be held at 12 noon Saturday March 27, 2021 in the chapel of Hanceville Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

 Abigail, who died at her home on Monday, March 22nd was part of the Media Ministry at Faith Chapel Christian Center.

She was born in Blount Springs the daughter of the late Alfred and Iva Lee Parker Green and is survived by her siblings; Nathaniel (Rebecca) Green, Vilee (Roosevelt, Jr.) Ford, Elbert (Yvette) Green, Evelyn (Moses) Timmons, Otis (Gatler) Green and James E. Green.

An aunt, Gertrude Parker, an Uncle, Robert (Evelyn) Parker and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded indeath by a sister, Viola Green.

Dr. Sammie Reid will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

 

Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Nelda Graves; son, Michael (Kathy) Graves; daughter, Marilyn Armstrong; grandson, Trevor Armstrong; cousin and best friend, Bobby Mann; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Funeral services for Oren "Junior" Brooks of Hanceville, Alabama will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Garden City Cemetery. Reverend James Fields will be officiating along with speaker, Tim Compton. Visitation for Mr. Brooks will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Brooks was born to Oren and Annette (Johns) Brooks on April 19, 1955 in Birmingham AL. He died at the age of 65 on March 21, 2021 at his residence in Hanceville, AL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Sonja Brooks; daughter, Courtney (Tommy) Beckwith; grandchildren, Ava Beckwith, Zoey Beckwith, and Macie Beckwith; mother, Annette Brooks; sister, Marteen (Shane) Bailey; sisters-in-law, Patricia Brooks and Wanda (Jimmy) Cotter; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his father, Oren Brooks; brother, Gary Brooks; uncle, Donald Faulkner; and mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Shirley Tyler.

Kerlista Pugh Brock, born February 5, 1934, went to be with her father on March 14, 2021. She was 87 years young.

 

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 19, 2021 at Hayden First Baptist Church with burial following at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 P.M. to service time.

 

She was a member of Hayden First Baptist Church. She has taught Sunday school for over 65 years and her life has been a witness for God.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Brock and her parents Walter and Rosie Pugh.

 

She has three sons, Paul (Debbie) Brock, Randy (Barbara) Brock and Julian (Becky) Brock. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Officiating the Funeral Service will be Pastor Keith Hudson and Pastor Sam Hollis. Officiating the Graveside Service will be Andrew Brock.


Funeral services for Gary Lynn Brooks of Hanceville will be held at 1 O'clock P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hanceville. Burial will follow at Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Brooks was born to Oren and Annette (Johns) Brooks on January 16, 1961 in Birmingham, AL. He died at the age of 60 on March 14, 2021 in Cullman, AL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia C. Brooks; children, Elisha Thomas and Erica (Josh) Stoves; son-in-law, Darrell Thomas;  grandchildren, Elijah Thomas, Emma Thomas, Ella Thomas, Jeremiah Stoves, Lily Stoves and Sophie Stoves; mother, Annette Brooks; brother, Junior (Sonja) Brooks; sister, Marteen (Shane) Bailey; niece, Courtney (Tommy) Beckwith and children; nephew, Jayce Barbee; mother-in-law, Margaret Cowart; sister-in-law, Linda (Robert) Durand; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his father, Oren R.T. Brooks; and father-in-law, Jerry Cowart.

Mr. Stanley Winfred Hall, at the age of 77, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021.

 

He was born February 3, 1944, in Colony, Al, to the late Andrew Hall Sr. and Catherine Hall. He was a retired truck driver and Army Veteran.

 

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Jean Hall of Colony, Al; three daughters and three sons: Stonya Nation (John), Charlotte Harris (Roger), Temeka Flanigan (Charles), Rodney Malcom, Radell Reynolds ; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and Son, Randy Malcom.

 

Pallbearers will be Mr. Hall's grandsons.

 

Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm, Friday, March 12, 2021, with a Graveside Service following at 12:30pm. All services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Colony, AL.

Mrs. Barbara Blincoe White, 59, from Hanceville, Alabama went home to her heavenly father on Monday, March 8, 2021. Barbara was a long-time employee of Huntsville Hospital and had a passion for caring for others. Barbara loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. She always ended her phone calls with her daughter and granddaughters with "I love you to the moon and back!" These calls will be sorely missed. She was a Harley Davidson enthusiast, loved the beach and her precious dogs, Harley and Gidget. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend.

 

She is survived by her husband, James White; her only child, Jackie Clark (Greg); granddaughters, Gabrielle Yancey (Troy) and Delaney Ann Clark, both of Daphne, AL; parents, Loyd and Barbara Self of Huntsville, AL; brother, Eugene Blincoe (Lynette) of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Mary Osborne (Daniel) of Huntsville, AL; brother, Coleman Blincoe (Jeanette) of Gainesville, FL; many nieces, nephews and dear sweet friends.

 

At this time there is no service scheduled. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Mann; children, Charlie Mann and Steven Mann; sister, Celia (Ken Crowe) Ward; brother, Larry (Thresea) Mann; and a niece, Hilary O'Brien.

 

Mr. Mann was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Wanda (Gibbs) Mann; and grandparents, Floy & Celesta Mann and Emory & Pearl Gibbs Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held after funeral services at 3:00 P.M. March 13, 2021 at Beat 8 Community Center located at 63 County Road 15, Bremen, AL 35033.
