Funeral services for Gean Howard Lecroy will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview West Cemetery. Reverend Trueman Davis will be officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Lecroy was born to The Late Ira and Mary (Graves) Lecroy on September 4, 1934 in Jefferson County and died on June 30, 2021 at the age of 86 at his residence in Hanceville.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Dawn Lecroy and his first wife, Melba Sue Lecroy.

 

Survivors include his wife, Christine Lecroy; children, Mark (Miranda) Lecroy, Geana (Cory) McKee, David (Jeannie) Fine, Judy Puckett and Kim (Dale) Simmons; grandchildren, Rose (Josh) Dendy, Alex (Jenny) McKee, Logan McKee, Charles (Kassie) Lovelady, Amy (Michael) Eudy, Jami (Derrick) Nicholas, Elizabeth (Chad) Fine, Jacob (Katie) Fine, Gracie Simmons and Lucas (Sarah) Simmons; great grandchildren, Andrew (Shelby) Eudy, Matthew Eudy, Henley Nicholas, Hayes Nicholas, Cooper Fine, Ellie Fine, Wyatt Dendy, Kristina Lovelady and Noah Lovelady; and a great-great grandchild, Parker Eudy.

Funeral services for Randy L. Bright of Cullman, Alabama will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Shelton Grove Cemetery in Hanceville. Reverend Ray Ponder will officiate. Visitation will be at Hanceville Funeral Home on Saturday prior to the service from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

 

Mr. Bright passed away at the age of 66 at his home on June 28, 2021. He was a very good man and was always there to help anyone at anytime. Most importantly, he loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Survivors include his wife, Denise Bright; children, Randy Bright Jr., Christy Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Kimberly Reno; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

 

Mr. Bright was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Ruth (Jones) Bright; and siblings, Bill Bright, Larry Bright, Shelia Reynolds and Gene Bright.

A graveside service for Eleanor Louise Sapp of Garden City, Alabama will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Damascus Cemetery in Hanceville.

 

Mrs. Sapp was born on November 11, 1934 in Birmingham to William and Lois (Farris) Sanford. She died at her residence at the age of 84 on June 20, 2021. Mrs. Sapp worked many years at Garden City School as a secretary for the State of Alabama School System.

 

Survivors include her children, Kate Smith, Keith (Debbie) Sapp, and Karen (Roger) Jones; grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, April Tankersley, and Kyle Sapp; and great grandchildren, Simone Brown and Ayden Thomas.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin Sapp; and grandson, Jonathan Tankersely.

A funeral service for Marie Hendrix Thompson of Hanceville will be 9:30 A.M. Friday, June 18, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Thompson was born on December 27, 1936 in Cullman to William and Annie (Miller) Hendrix. She died at the age of 84 on June 15, 2021 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center in Hanceville.

 

She owned her own beauty shops and worked several years as a beautician. She also spent some time working at Nicholson File in Cullman.

 

Survivors include her son, Terry Briscoe; a sister, Louise Foust, and a host of nieces.

 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Estelle Price.

A graveside service for Sherrell Calvert will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Ryan's Creek Cemetery in Bremen, Alabama. Reverend Johnny Freeman will be officiating. Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Mr. Calvert was born at home in the Brushy Pond Community on November 23, 1935. He died at the age of 85 on June 12, 2021 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

 

Survivors include his siblings, Ruth Graves, Dillon Calvert, Avery (Doris) Calvert and Bobby Joe (Edith) Calvert; many devoted nieces, nephews, and friends; and a sister-in-law, Joan Calvert.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Riley and Bertha (Stricklin) Calvert; and siblings, O.V. Calvert, Vonda Lee Waters, Clarice Hancock, Ellen Baker, Jurd Calvert, and Quillon Calvert.


A graveside service for Denise Deliz, 64 of Cullman who died Friday, June 11, 2021 will be held Tuesday, July 15th at Mt Tabor Cemetery in Blount County with Reverend Tim Blackmon officiating. Hanceville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening 6-8 pm.

The daughter of the late V.J. and Lora Bullard Powell is survived by siblings: Mandy (Mike) reaves, Jeannette (Steve) Thomas, Steve (Brenda) Powell, Cindy (Mike) Robbins, Martha Powell and Mindy (David) Torres.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; daughter, Heather and a brother, Jim Powell.

In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

Survivors include his children, Andy (Sherry) Brazelton, Brett Brazelton, and Angela (John) Simpson; grandchildren, Chase Brazelton, Cora Simpson and Jack Simpson; mother of his children, Peggy Brazelton; brother, Edward Brazelton; sisters, Dorcas (Barney) Murray and Sarah (Marvin) Tucker; a host of nieces and nephews; and his loyal K-9 friend, James.

 

Mr. Brazelton was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Hines and Margaret (Self) Brazelton; and two brothers, Melvin and Calvin Brazelton.

A memorial service for Jody Mark Millican, of Hanceville, AL will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home.

Mr. Millican was born on September 5, 1975 to Leonard and Charlotte (Pope) Millican in Birmingham, AL and died at the age of 45 on May 30, 2021 in Hanceville, AL.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexis Millican; mother, Charlotte Millican; sister, Sam (Mark "Pup") Miller; nephews, Wesley Millican and Mitchell Millican; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Mr. Millican was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Millican; mother of his daughter, Betty Swann; step daughter, Vanessa Swann; and grandparents, Bud (Bootie) Pope and Deedee (Ruby) Millican.
